The Singlularity will always be near

Kevin Kelly’s essay Thinkism is an important essay responding to apocalyptic thinking about the "Singularity." This is a very clear and considered essay, written with deep understanding and experience of how order emerges in complex systems. Related, I highly recommend his book Out of Control. It is a little dated, but if you hold this in mind as you read, it is all the more wonderful for Kelly’s depth and prescience.
